South Florida – The Miami-Dade Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals are ecstatic to announce its inaugural Gospel Music Summit. The South Florida Gospel Music Industry Summit will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 4pm at Friendship MBC Miami, 740 NW 58th Street, Rev. Gaston E. Smith, Senior Pastor (Host). The summit will concluded on Sunday, April 29th, 4pm also at Friendship with a Foundation of Gospel Concert featuring traditional and quartet music artists. Saturday’s session will consist of an industry round table discussing and addressing the state of the gospel and mainstream music industries, sacred vs secular music, financing your dream, production and business; breaking into the “business”, getting your music played, streaming, and so much more… CONFIRMED panelists/presenters include: Vice President of the National Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals, Business Mogul and Industry Insider, Chris Squire from Sewell, New Jersey; Missey Bailey, Gospel Music Programmer and On-Air Personality, Cox Media Group Miami/Fort Lauderdale (WHQT – HOT 105FM); Ricky Derae, National Concert and Theater Promoter; and James Cleveland Jones, Christian Television Network/A Time of Refreshing TV show and Gospel Jamz Radio Programmer and On-Air Personality from Ft. Myers, Florida. Lynn (Princess Dvine) Brown, President of the Broward Alliance and Kenya Wheeler, President of the Palm Beach Alliance are co-hosts of the summit and will lend their voices and insight to the conversation as well. The summit session will feature a performance by showcase artist Ray and Joshua Generation from Tampa, Florida and will be moderator by International Recording Artist and President of the Miami-Dade Alliance, Johnny Sanders. Sunday’s concert will feature the legendary Virginia Bostic, Pastor Avery Jones and the Fellas; Sherman Woods (of the Woods Brothers); Derek “the change man” Smith & New Dimensions; The Smiling Jubuliares of Fort Lauderdale; and more. The event will be hosted by gospel promoter extraordinaire, Ricky Derae.
